2005 ECONOMY MODIFIED RULES

 

 

The rules and/or regulations set forth herein are designed to provide for the orderly conduct of racing events and to establish minimum acceptable requirements for such events.  The Economy Modified Rules shall govern the condition of all Economy Modified events.  By participating in these events, all participants are deemed to have complied with these rules.  They are intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport and are in no way a guarantee. 

 

MUST RUN MUFFLERS

 

MUST have an “E” in front of car number and it must be as large as the number and the same color.

 

IMCA Rules, except motor rule.  Motor buy will be a $500.00 swap.  If refusal to sell, a $1,000.00 fine payable to I-76 Speedway will be assessed plus suspension from the track for 30 calendar days from the date of refusal to sell, loss of all cash winnings for the event and points for the season.  IMCA claiming procedures apply.

 

MOTOR RULES

 

1.  Must run gas. 

2.  One 2-barrell carburetor.   

3.  Ignition systems must be OEM stock (no spark boxes).  

4.  Center dump headers only. 

5.  No light-weight starters. 

6.  168 tooth stock steel fly-wheel on chevy – other makes comparable stock fly-wheel. 

7.  Standard steel 3-speed transmission only. 

8.  Steel pressure plate and single disc clutch. 

9.  No rear-end gear deeper than a 583.
